What is a Group Break?

Group Break (or group unpacking) is a great way to get interesting cards for a fraction of the price of whole boxes.

Group Break works by several people joining together to buy boxes, and the cards are then divided among the participants according to the team they were assigned to.

For example, one box of Upper Deck hockey cards costs 3200 CZK, but in our group break, where a case with 10 boxes is opened (value 32000 CZK), you will pay only 1000 CZK for one seat.

How does Group Break work?

In We have 32 teams in the NHL group break, once all spots are filled and payments are received, we open the boxes on the specified date.

All group breaks are broadcast live on our YouTubechannel. After the group break, the video with the expansion is saved on the channel for you to watch again.

Once the group break ends, the cards will be divided by team and sent to the customers they belong to via the delivery service selected when ordering.

Break types:

We currently offer two types of breaks:

1. Team Random

Participants of the team random group break choose from the available positions (NHL = 32), the price for each position is the same. After payment and filling the break, the team draw will take place using the paid service at random.org. The draw takes place live before the actual unpacking.

All cards drawn for the team are won by the player to whom the given team was assigned by the draw.

2. Team Select

Each participant in the team select group break will choose a specific team for which they will play. The price of each team varies (e.g., the New York Rangers cost 1,000 crowns, the Montreal Canadiens cost 1,200 crowns, and the Florida Panthers cost 700 crowns). All cards drawn for this team are awarded to the player who purchased it. General Rules All positions/clubs must be sold out for the Group Break to take place. The date of the unboxing will always be announced, but we reserve the right to move the date forward or backward, if necessary, without prior notice. However, we try to inform participants of any changes in advance via our social media.

Each break has a fixed number of teams (NHL = 32 teams).

Old teams are assigned to their successor teams.

  • Quebec Nordiques –> Colorado Avalanche
  • Hartford Whalers –> Carolina Hurricanes
  • Minnesota North Stars –> Dallas Stars
  • Atlanta Thrashers –> Winnipeg Jets
  • Winnipeg Jets original (until 1996) –> Phoenix Coyotes/Arizona Coyotes

Cards can be stored with us for free (for a maximum of 3 months) and sent later with another order (where the postage).

In the case of multiple teams on one card, the card will be allocated by lot (using a paid service at random.org) among the owners of the teams listed on it.

For international customers (outside the Czech Republic, Slovakia), please contact us for details about delivery and specific conditions.

If the shipment is damaged, complaints must be handled directly with the delivery service. If necessary, we will be happy to provide you with assistance in resolving the situation.

Currently, all Group Breaks are being conducted with Slovak commentary – with a bit of luck, it will only be until we find a Czech replacement! But we promise that even in Slovak group breaks are just as exciting! :)

Payments, payment methods and cancellations

To speed up the fulfillment of the Group Break, we recommend immediate payment by bank transfer or payment by card.

If the position is not paid for within 24 hours, it will be canceled and offered to other customers.

The customer may withdraw from an unpaid order at their own request without giving a reason. Once the position is paid, the order is considered binding and cannot be canceled.

If the break is not filled by the specified deadline, participants will be offered the option of a refund or transfer of payment to another break.

Bonus programs or loyalty rewards

In the future, we plan to introduce bonus programs for loyal customers, such as discounts or the possibility of participating in exclusive breaks. 14pt;">
