The Highlights of 2023-24 Upper Deck Series 2 Hockey:
We made significant changes to the Upper Deck series to provide an even more impressive collecting experience!
Changes:
- Enhanced ratio of insert cards to base cards in each package. Each package now includes an average of three (3) inserts.
- Introduction of an amazing base parallel set, which also means more Young Guns cards!
- And although we changed the configuration (number of cards per pack/packs per box), each box still includes on average at least one (1) Young Guns®! card.
Fans and collectors will be thrilled with the UD Portraits cards! The 2023-24 insert version showcases star veterans and rookies like you’ve never seen them before! No two duo portraits are the same. Series 2 hosts the last 30 cards of the UD Portraits 2023-24!
UD Canvas®, a set that has long been popular among collectors, includes a collection of today’s best stars, the best of Young Guns® and only in Series 2 the shortened sub-sets of Retired and Program of Excellence (rookies who played for Team Canada). Series 2 contains an additional 150 cards (C121 – C270) from the 2023-24 set.
New insert sets. The latest release of Series 2 offers an impressive range of new insert sets sure to delight everyone, from casual fans to avid collectors:
- Director of Boards: This set features some of the physical players in today’s game.
- Ecliptic: Top stars and rookies are depicted shooting the puck in this brand new set.
- Instinctive: Goalie fans will love this set showcasing the best goalies making saves! Collect an average of one (1) per box.
- PC’s: This super-star set boasts probably the best player from each team along with three extra super stars! Collect an average of one (1) per box. Parallels Sparkle and rare Gold Sparkle are also available for each of the above sets, to be collected!
- Deep Roots: This set features 50 base players! Collect an average of one (1) Deep Roots card per box.
- Glaring: Each card in this rare set includes a detailed image of a star player’s eyes!
- Monster Season: This special set commemorates Connor McDavid’s 2022-23 season, which culminated in his third Hart Memorial Trophy win! There is a card for each of his 82 regular-season games – each with a photograph and some text about the game.
Popular inserts Honor Roll and Dazzlers are back! The Honor Roll set ends in Series 2, so be sure to complete your collection! In Series 1, the checklists consisted only of star veterans, but in Series 2, the Honor Roll® checklist consists only of rookies, while the Dazzlers checklist includes more star veterans with several rookies. Each box will contain on average one (1) Honor Roll® card and one (1) Green Dazzlers card. Green Dazzlers cards are only available in Blaster boxes!
O-Pee-Chee Glossy inserts include star veterans and top rookies. Collect an average of at least one (1) per box and watch out for golden parallels!
